WNEG is the CBS affiliate for Northeast Georgia. Along with CBS programming and some of the top syndicated shows, NewsChannel 32 produces 2 1/2 hours of local news, weather and sports programming a day. NewsChannel 32 is the only source for local television news in the area.

The news operation uses the latest technology to gather information from sixteen Georgia counties, upstate South Carolina and the mountains of North Carolina. Our sports department focuses on local high school and college sports, including Clemson and the University of Georgia. During football season, WNEG covers the high school teams every week with "Friday Night Under the Lights," a show featuring scores and highlights of all 27 teams in our area.

WNEG has been a leader in defining Northeast Georgia as a cultural and economic region. WNEG, by reaching out to the business and civic elements of the communities we serve, has fostered the regional concept that will provide the infrastructure to bring planned economic and cultural growth to the area.
