EquiFirst was founded in 1990 as a wholesale lender based in Charlotte, N.C. EquiFirst grew quickly as our reputation for superior customer service and broker support spread throughout the industry. In 2007 we were acquired by Barclays Capital Real Estate Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of Barclays Bank, PLC.
Today, EquiFirst is a national lender with nearly 20 years of mortgage experience and is active in both the wholesale and retail arenas. Over the years our programs have changed to maintain industry standards; but our core ideals have never varied. We continue to provide our customers with the highest levels of service, support, and mortgage expertise.
