Description
JOB DUTIES:
Assists in the design, development, modification and analysis of hardware devices and/or systems. Diagnoses malfunctions in new and existing systems; makes improvements or modifications to produce desired results. Works closely with project management, other engineering disciplines, configuration management, quality assurance and operations support in the design and deployment of systems or enhancements.
Acquires current information and conducts analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new designs, methods or processes and provides recommendations accordingly. Experience operating electronic lab instruments to evaluate designs and diagnose problems.
Must have basic project management skills and experience managing small development or deployment teams.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this Position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a combination of formal education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree. At least four years of applicable electrical and/or electronic engineering experience.
Knowledge of current hardware engineering practices and standards; research, plan and design digital, analog, video and RF system. Direct and coordinate the activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of electronic systems. Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office with Visio and MS Project skills being a real plus. Proper English grammar, usage, spelling and punctuation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, prolonged sitting while using the computer and the telephone, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness.
Project demands may require traveling to Range locations by air or motor vehicle, exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions for prolonged periods, travel over rough roads, and work on uneven surfaces in an outdoor environment. The noise level on the Ranges varies from quiet to moderately noisy. Must be willing to comply with all safety requirements and procedures.
